Up coming courses with Accrington & Rossendale

AccRoss have a wide range of courses starting after the Easter break in Accrington.  More courses have been added the the schedule which can be found HERE, these include:-

Lift Off ! –  confidence building programme which aims to boost levels of self-esteem, self-belief and motivation.

This course starts on Monday 20th May 2019. The course will be on Mondays for 10 weeks.

1pm to 4pm (12:30pm start on first week) at The Waterside Centre, St James Court West, Accrington, BB5 1NA.

 

Biohazards Cleaning – one day course

This course is on Wednesday 24th April 2019. 9:30am to 3:30pm.

This course will have progression to a two-day Crime & Trauma scene cleaning course on Tuesday 30th April and Wednesday 1st May 2019.

Both courses are at our state-of-the-art facilities at Broad Oak Road campus, Accrington.

 

Level 2 – Certificate Caring for Children and Young People (Childcare Level 2)

Starts: Thursday 25th April 2019. Times: 9:30am to 12:30pm. Thursdays for 12 weeks at The Waterside Centre, St James Court West, Accrington, BB5 1NA.

 

**Brand new course** Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions

This Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions is a qualification designed for learners looking to start work in, or already working in, health and social care, who would like an understanding of common health conditions and their effects on individuals.

Entry requirements – Ideally students should already have a Level 1 qualification in a health care subject. Please enquire for details.

This course starts on Wednesday 24th April 2019. 1pm to 4pm on Wednesdays for 12 weeks at The Waterside Centre, St James Court West, Accrington, BB5 1NA.

 

Computer and On-line Basics

This course is aimed at beginners who wish to improve skills to be able to use a PC confidently and safely.

Starts: Tuesday 23rd April 2019. Times: 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

Tuesdays for 10 weeks.

 

IT Computer Skills for Work

The course will provide learners with the basic skills, knowledge and understanding of a range of IT functions to effectively and confidently use IT and computers in the workplace.

Starts: Wednesday 24th April 2019. Times: 9:30am to 12:30pm. Wednesdays for 12 weeks

 

Food Safety – One day course (at Broad Oak Road campus)

Tuesday 7th May 2019. 9:30am to 3:30pm

 

First Aid course schedule

Healthy Lifestyles – Monday 13th May. 9:30am to 2:30pm

Emergency First Aid at Work – Monday 20th May. 9:30am to 4:30pm

 

Plastering – Daytime. Starts: Friday April 26th 2019. Times: 10am – 3:30pm. Fridays for 8 weeks

 

Courses are FREE for people who are unemployed, actively seeking work and claiming an eligible benefit.
